We are honored to announce that DARK ROOMS has received both the Grand Prize and the Impact Prize at the NewImages Festival 2026 immersive competition.

Co-produced by teams from Denmark, Germany, and Taiwan, DARK ROOMS is a free-roaming VR documentary experience that explores intimacy, identity, and hidden emotional landscapes through immersive storytelling and spatial interaction. The project was created through an international collaboration between artists, producers, and immersive creators across multiple disciplines and countries.

Receiving these two awards is deeply meaningful to the entire team. The recognition not only acknowledges the creative and technical efforts behind the project, but also reinforces the potential of immersive media as a powerful language for emotional and social storytelling.

We are sincerely grateful to the jury, festival team, collaborators, partners, and audiences who supported the project throughout its journey.
