The Claudia Wang SS24 collection is inspired by the twelve zodiac animals and the designer’s surreal dreams of cats. Under the digital direction of NAXS STUDIO, this dreamscape expands into a vibrant, immersive virtual world.
Players take on the role of an agile and playful cat-ball character “Catworm”, navigating through three dreamlike levels in an interactive journey blending fashion, fantasy, and gaming. As they explore, players uncover key elements of the SS24 collection, experiencing the intricate narrative that connects the designs with the game’s characters, bringing a new digital dimension to fashion storytelling.
NAXS STUDIO harnesses Cloud Rendering technology, seamlessly integrating a highly detailed and dynamic 3D virtual world into a web browser. Through real-time streaming, users can access a highly interactive, game-like fashion showcase without downloading files or requiring high-end hardware—experiencing it effortlessly on standard computers or mobile devices.
This breakthrough removes the traditional hardware limitations of 3D content, allowing a global audience to instantly step into an immersive digital exhibition space, where they can explore dynamic fashion displays, interactive scenes, and innovative storytelling, redefining the intersection of fashion and digital technology.
Beyond game design, NAXS STUDIO further extended the virtual world into VJ visuals, collaborating with Claudia Wang to bring the game’s environments and characters to life at London Fashion Week and at The Tanks, the underground space of Tate Modern. Additionally, Taiwanese experimental folk/rock band Prairie WWWW composed a unique soundscape for the show, adding an auditory layer to the immersive experience.
By blending virtual and physical elements, dynamic projections transported the audience into the game’s dreamlike world, accompanied by Prairie WWWW’s atmospheric music. This showcase not only blurred the boundaries between fashion, digital art, and music, but also positioned virtual technology as an integral part of fashion storytelling, redefining the future of runway experiences.
