2025 P2P Artists Annoucement

The P2P Residency Program announces this year’s selected artists — Olivia Koh (Australia) and — Robert Chang Chien (Taiwan).

The two artists respectively engage with field research, history and memory, as well as cross-disciplinary inquiry, environmental psychology, and philosophy.

Through image and new media practices, they open multifaceted explorations into history, culture, and contemporary issues.

▒ Artist Bio | AU
Olivia Koh is based on the Eastern Kulin Nation, on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Boon Wurrung land.Her recent works include Island Shapes 島嶼形狀 (Runway Journal Issue 47, 2023) and Minyak Sawit Keluarga (Palm Oil Family) (Hyphenated Project & ACMI, 2023).She also served as guest editor for un Magazine good grief (Issue 18.4, 2024).

▒ Residency ▒
During the P2P Residency, Olivia will continue her research on a historic interwar community magazine produced in Kinmen, Taiwan.She will explore analogue and digital photographic and image-making processes once used to disseminate the original xerox magazine, while re-mediating its historical texts and images through contemporary imaging technologies.

▒ Artist Bio | TW
Robert Chang Chien (張簡長倫) is a Taiwanese film director, cross-disciplinary artist, designer, and educator based between Taiwan and the UK. He holds Master’s degrees in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art, London, and in Architecture from National Cheng Kung University.

His creative and research interests centre on environmental psychology, philosophy, and the cosmos, often exploring the intangible—memory, transcendence, solitude, love, and perception. His works have been exhibited internationally in London, New York, Paris, Reykjavík, Tokyo, Gwangju, and Taipei.
